Our infants and toddlers enjoy classrooms designed especially for their needs. There are low cabinets where babies can reach learning toys, soft blocks and books, as well as low tables and chairs. This encourages babies to explore their environment. We designed areas just for our tiny infants where they can enjoy tummy time, toys, bouncers, mirrors and photos of their families so they can continue to learn and communicate through sounds and facial expression. We also meet the needs of our toddlers by providing special spaces for their growing bodies and imagination. Families receive daily reports of feeding, diapering, sleeping and play activities. We have low 1:4 staff to child ratios and babies form strong relationships with our professional and LOVING staff. We provide all baby food, formula, diapers and baby wipes!
Every Wednesday is Soup Day!
PreK3 and PreK4 Classrooms
In our PreK3 and PreK4 classrooms we reinforce developing reading, writing, math and science skills. Story and large group time reinforce language skills and social emotional development. Science and math reinforce prediction skills, using discussion, sorting, and graphing. By the end of PreK, the children have the acquired all the necessary skills to be successful in Kindergarten.
Those children needing supports for toileting are provided with pull ups and wipes. The staff to child ratio in these classrooms is 1:10 or less.
The Creative Curriculum for Preschool and Teaching Strategies Gold Assessment System is used in all classrooms and aligns with the Glassboro School District PreK curriculum standards.
PreK3 (potty-trained) and PreK4 children who attend J. Harvey Rodgers School programs may attend our RASKEL Program right at J. Harvey Rodgers School - see our School Age Program tab for more information!
